Our Work

Netherlands video production for international crews requires more than local knowledge — it requires operational discipline.

Every project we take on starts with the same question: what does this shoot actually need on the ground, and how do we make sure it happens without gaps? Whether the project is a single-day interview in Amsterdam or a multi-week feature spanning Rotterdam’s port and the polders of Friesland, the workflow scales but the standard does not.

Our fixer team has supported productions for UNICEF, Discovery Channel, Oracle, Netflix, UNESCO, Adidas, PUMA, and Nine Network Australia, among others. Project types range from broadcast journalism and documentary to commercial and branded content. Below is a selection of recent work we have coordinated in the Netherlands and across the region.

Netherlands film production

Every Netherlands video production we deliver is scoped individually. There is no template pipeline that fits every project — a documentary with a two-person crew has different needs than a commercial with a 25-person unit. Before we commit to a project, we work through what the shoot actually requires: number of shoot days, locations and access constraints, crew composition, equipment specifications, permit timelines, and any complicating factors (weather windows, subject availability, festival or event conflicts).

Once the scope is clear, we source crew from our vetted freelance network. Selection is based on the project’s technical needs and on soft factors — how a DP handles a fast-moving doc-style day, whether a production assistant works well under pressure, which sound recordist has experience in specific location types like canals or industrial sites.

Throughout production, we handle communication with the visiting producer directly. Updates are frequent and specific — not “everything is on track” but “the Rotterdam permit came in yesterday, the Wednesday location moved from 09:00 to 10:00 due to a resident complaint, here is the revised schedule.” Producers who have worked with us before tend to value that operational transparency more than the initial pitch.

An international network for video production

Our approach to Amsterdam video production and Netherlands video production more broadly blends local expertise with international coordination. Regardless of the project’s origin country, our fixer team handles every operational aspect of production on Dutch ground: location scouting and access negotiation, permit applications with the relevant municipal film offices, crew booking, equipment sourcing from Amsterdam and Bussum rental houses, transport and logistics, ATA Carnet coordination for international kit imports, and Netherlands Film Production Incentive coordination for eligible productions.

We operate with 24/7 availability for productions in flight. If your shoot moves between Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or The Hague on short notice — as often happens on doc-style and journalism projects — our fixer team relocates and coordinates without impacting the schedule.

For productions that span multiple countries, we coordinate directly with counterparts in the Storytailors network across 150+ territories. Cross-border logistics stay in one accountable chain rather than routing through third-party agencies.

Your Netherlands film production crew

A production is only as good as the people running it. As a Netherlands video production crew with an international operational network, we work on a principle that has held up across hundreds of projects: everyone on the crew, from lead production fixer to production assistant, has to know the plan and be able to execute it independently when needed. Hierarchical decision-making slows things down. Distributed competence keeps a shoot moving.

If you work with our fixer team, you can expect: timely delivery on agreed schedules, efficient task coordination across departments, transparent communication during production, and integrated management of the operational elements that make or break a shoot day — permits, equipment, transport, catering, on-set logistics.

Take a closer look at the projects above. In collaboration with Storytailors, we have delivered Netherlands film production services for Oracle, UNICEF, Top Gear, Adidas, Netflix, PUMA, and other international clients.

Part of Storytailors since 2020

Netherlands Fixer joined the Storytailors network in 2020. Storytailors coordinates fixer and line production teams across 150+ countries, working with broadcasters, streaming platforms, brands, and independent producers.

For our Amsterdam video production and broader Netherlands work, membership in the network means access to shared vetting standards, working practices, and rate transparency across markets. It also means that producers who have worked with Storytailors teams elsewhere find consistent quality and communication patterns when they work with us.

Every fixer, videographer, producer, and production coordinator on our Netherlands video production crew shares the network’s operational standards. Decisions in fast-moving shoots need to be made quickly and cleanly. The network’s cross-border experience gives us pattern-matching on situations most local companies encounter once every few years.
